This hibiscus comes from a women’s cooperative at the base of the Dedza Mountains in Malawi, where plants are encouraged to self-seed in a watershed conservation zone—helping slow flash flooding that can rush down the mountainside toward villages and farmland. Traditionally harvested by women, it’s a cup rooted in place and care.
